Reading enrichment is designed to supplement curriculum by providing advanced reading and writing skills. The goal of the program is to meet the needs of students performing above grade level by exposing them to content geared toward their abilities.
Students work in small groups of three to six.
An enrichment session lasts for forty-five minutes. Students in grades 2-5 attend twice a week while kindergartners and first graders attend once a week. Qualification for the enrichment program is determined by above average performances in three areas: grades, standardized test scores, and teacher recommendations.
